What is your booking process?

We require a signed contract and a non-refundable booking deposit to secure the date. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, eTransfer, cash, and cheque.

What is your service area?

We are based out of Vancouver, but with our mobile studio, we're happy to travel throughout the Lower Mainland. For weddings and shoots outside of the Lower Mainland, travel costs, such as ferries, may apply. Our California studio is up and running, so contact us about Los Angeles weddings. We're also quite happy to do destination weddings - we love going to warm places!

What if I have ideas or desire something custom that isn’t listed?

These packages are just starting points, and we're happy to discuss other ideas you may have.

What about our rehearsal?

We'd like to drop by the wedding rehearsal to scope out the layout and plan for the big day, if we haven’t already seen the venue with you. This walk-around informational session is complimentary. If you are interested in photography for your rehearsal, please see our Additional Investments.

How soon after my wedding will I get my proofs?

Sneak peek delivery within 72 hours of your wedding and full gallery delivery within 2-4 weeks of your wedding.

Do your prices include tax?

No. For Canadian weddings, GST will be added to the photography portion of the booking, and both GST and PST will be added to any physical products purchased. Los Angeles weddings will incur a California LA tax rate of 9.5%. Destination weddings will incur a tax rate based on the country from which we book you - as either a Canadian or American client.

How many photos do we get?

On average, 50-100 photos per hour. The final images are professionally-edited, high-resolution JPG files.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

In the event the Client must cancel the contracted services for wedding photography, I will refund all money paid, excluding the Reservation Deposit. There will be a Cancellation clause in your contract.

If the Client needs to reschedule for any reason, I am happy to do so, provided I'm not already booked for the requested alternate day.

What about a ‘back-up’ photographer?

I have never missed a wedding, but we can discuss contingencies should something serious arise. If you mean a second photographer, I have team associates I trust who share my artistic vision and whose styles match mine.

Can I get more gift cards?

Our half-day and full-day wedding packages include a maximum of 2 family gift cards for ordering prints ($100 value each). If you would like to order several gift cards (at any price point!) to include as wedding favors or to send to friends and family, we offer discounts in bulk. Both electronic and plastic gift cards are available. We can chat further about this during our meetings.

What sets you apart, bOB?

Several things make your investment in me different from other wedding photographers. First, my art school training brings a creative, fine art approach to your wedding photography. Second, we offer Bridal Sessions - something very few west coast wedding photographers offer (read more about Bridal Sessions). In addition, we offer gift cards for prints to let your friends and family have photo mementos (either chosen by you or them; we’d discuss this ahead of time). Finally, we incorporate smartphones into your day in a unique way, should you choose. Book a meeting now and we can start getting creative!

Our Gear

Being a lifelong Nikon fan, I have recently moved to the Nikon mirrorless camera system. I'm currently using the retro inspired Nikon ZF body and the Nikon Z5. Attached to the bodies are professional Nikkor S series lenses for optimal sharpness and performance.

What happens if it rains?

We advise one backup photo location to be chosen, but we’ll also shoot in the rain!
